The Smith Arthritis Fund Committee
Is Now Accepting Grant Applications Wake Forest University School of Medicine, 2011

The Smith Arthritis Fund was established in 1979 when Carolyn Michael D. Paloski, DO
Kirkpatrick Smith donated $41,500 for arthritis research. This Orthopaedic Surgery
fund is administered through the Mecklenburg County Medical
Society and is designed to support research projects as they OrthoCarolina
relate to the needs of patients suffering from rheumatologic
diseases. Each year the Committee awards about $1,000 per 1915 Randolph Road, Charlotte, NC 28207
grant. There are no rigid restrictions. The Smith Arthritis Fund
Committee of the Mecklenburg County Medical Society is now 704-323-2543
accepting grant applications from interested physicians through
