is pleased to welcome two neurosurgeons to
the team. Gregory J. Imbarrato,
DO, will see patients at the
Billingsley and Mint Hill
locations, while Charles N.
Munyon, MD, will care for
patients at the Billingsley and
GregoryJ.Imbarrato,DO Huntersville locations.
Dr. Imbarrato treats an array of
neurological conditions, including
back and neck problems,
brain tumors and other
intracranial pathology through
operative and non-operative
management. He is fellowship-
trained in cerebrovascular
CharlesN.Munyon,MD neurosurgery and is excited
to be able to offer minimally invasive
endovascular techniques in the treatment
of ischemic stroke, aneurysms and other
vascular issues of the brain and spine.
Imbarrato attended medical school
at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine and completed his residency at
Advocate BroMenn neurological surgery
residency program in Normal, Ill. He went on
to Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla. Carmel Road, suite 102. of Osteopathic medicine in 2002. While
to complete his fellowship in cerebrovascular
and endovascular neurosurgery.
Dr. Munyon is a board-certified
neurosurgeon who specializes in functional
and restorative neurosurgery, with a particular
interest in movement disorders, epilepsy and
complex pain conditions, including facial
pain, chronic back pain and pain related to
cancer or cancer treatments. He has significant cardiologists and vascular specialists, John
expertise in neuromodulation, the practice of
using implanted stimulation or drug delivery
systems to improve the function of the
nervous system. Munyon also treats tumors
of the brain and spine, as well as degenerative expertise in managing patients with peripheral
disease of the spine.
As part of a multidisciplinary approach to
low-back pain, Munyon performs minimally
invasive fusions of the spine and sacroiliac

joints. The stimulation modalities that he
employs include deep brain stimulation for
Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor,
responsive neurostimulation for epilepsy
and spinal cord, dorsal root ganglion, and
peripheral nerve stimulation for pain.
Munyon received his medical degree from
the University of Pennsylvania School of
Medicine and completed his residency and
fellowship at Case Western Reserve University
School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.

Welcomes Frances C. Travelli, MD
Novant Health Pediatric Cardiology is
excited to welcome Frances C. Travelli,
MD, to the clinic. Dr.
Travelli received her medical
degree from the University
of Alabama School of
Medicine in Birmingham
and completed her pediatric
FrancesC.Travelli,MD residency at James Whitcomb
Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health
in Indianapolis, followed by a fellowship at
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Dr. Travelli is board-certified in pediatric
cardiology and a fellow of the American
College of Cardiology. Before coming to
Novant Health, she was in private practice
for five years in Los Angeles. Outside of the
office, she enjoys spending time with family
and friends, cooking and traveling.

Cardiologists John Fani Srour, MD,
and Michael Cantor, DO
Novant Health Heart & Vascular Institute is
excited to welcome to its team interventional
Fani Srour, MD, and Michael Cantor, DO.
Dr. Srour practices adult general and
interventional cardiology, with additional
arterial disease and endovascular procedures.
He is board-certified in echocardiography and
nuclear cardiology.
Srour completed his medical school training
at the University of Damascus in Syria in
2000. While at the University of
Texas in Houston, he completed
his internal medicine residency.
He was a teaching attending
at the Harvard Medical
School/Beth Israel Deaconess
Fani Srour,MD Medical Center (BIDMC)
before moving to Providence, RI to complete
his training in general and interventional
cardiology at Brown Medical School.
Dr. Cantor practices adult general and
interventional cardiology along with
echocardiography, nuclear
cardiology, pacemaker
placement, and management
of peripheral vascular disease.
He completed his medical
training at the University of
at St. Luke’s hospital in Bethlehem, Penn.,
Cantor completed his internal medicine
residency before moving to Dallas-Fort
Worth to complete his training in general and
interventional cardiology.
Both physicians have privileges at Novant
Health Huntersville Medical Center and are
accepting new patients at 10030 Gilead Road,
suite 201.

Welcomes Tyler Kirkland, MD
Tyler Kirkland, MD, has joined the team at
Novant Health Rankin OB/GYN. Dr. Kirkland
is board-certified by the
American College of Obstetrics
and Gynecology. She received
her undergraduate degree from
Davidson College. She then
pursued a medical degree at
Tyler Kirkland,MD UNC Chapel Hill, followed by
a residency in OB/GYN at the University of
Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Kirkland provides a full scope of
obstetric and gynecologic care, with an interest
in robotic gynecological surgery. A native
Charlottean, she is excited to join the team
at Rankin OB/GYN and is committed to
providing excellent care for all women.
Kirkland is currently accepting new
patients at the Randolph Road and uptown
Charlotte locations.
