Darlyne Menscer, MD, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
and completed her family medicine residency at Charlotte Memorial Hospital (now                                   NOVEMBER
Carolinas Medical Center), as well as a fellowship in geriatrics at the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is board-certified in both family medicine and geriatrics.                American Diabetes Month n Diabetic Eye Disease Month

Now retired, Dr. Menscer was a former clinical associate professor of family medicine

Menscer was president of the Mecklenburg County Medical Society in 1996 and                                   National Hospice and Palliative Care Month
a member of the Mecklenburg County Board of Directors for 24 years (director for
four years and ex-officio director for 20 years as the North Carolina Medical Society            Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month n Prematurity Awareness Month
delegate to the American Medical Association).

                 A life-long member, Menscer served on and chaired several MCMS                                     (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)
                 committees over the years:Alliance Free Pharmacy Study Committee,

and leadership in North Carolina.

Chair in 2016. Founded in 1904 to improve medical education in the United

the AMA Board of Trustees.The Council also is responsible for recommending the                                    International AIDS Awareness Month

She was named in Charlotte Magazine as a top doctor multiple times over the years
