About MCMS

The Mecklenburg County Medical Society is involved in numerous public services and community activities to provide education, awareness and access to various community health needs and health education.

An example of the agencies formed through the MCMS: 

Physicians Reach Out - a program for uninsured in Mecklenburg County

Teen Health Connection - provides medical care for adolescents

MedAssist of Mecklenburg (now NC MedAssist) - a free pharmacy

Hospitality House - home-away-from-home for families with patients in area hospitals Bioethics Research Group - public education on bioethical issues such as end of life care
